  • Guest：My husband and I really enjoyed Cristine's place. It is a quaint house, with the flavor of an historic place. It is close to a public beach and downtown businesses. The breakfast was delicious and Cristine is a very hospitable host. We would love to go back there sometime.
  • Guest：The three words that come to mind as I write this review are charm and comfort and graciousness. This B&B is clean, comfortable and well maintained. The atmosphere is welcoming. The host (owner) is a delightful enterprising young woman who is working hard to meet your needs. There are three rooms in the main cottage. Upstairs are the Cowichan room which is spacious, airy and probably the most popular. The other room upstairs has an ocean view that is relaxing, but the room is just a touch smaller. The garden room is on the main level and may be the smallest of the three. But we stayed there and found it quite comfortable for our two night stay. The castle is a separate building and is located upstairs (downstairs is a hair salon -- the host is also a hairdresser!). The castle room is a very large suite with a medieval decor. It is grand. Breakfast was served at 9 AM (which suited us perfectly) but the host made a nice pot of coffee that was ready for guests about an hour earlier. That made us happy also. There is a fabulous theater and lots of talent available at the Chemainus Theater (we saw Dolly Parton's 9 to 5 and it was a terrific romp!). So we will be back and will definitely book a room at the Cottage and Castle (which is within easy walking distance of the theater AND the beach!)
